Love Pasta ( commonly known as Tuna pasta) 02.01.2008

This is quick, tasty and is a special meal I cook for my lady friend in times of stress. You can always try cooking without the love, but it won’t taste as nice. It will just taste like, well, tuna pasta. Also a handy dish when in a large group and camping or some such (though obviously then you need more ingredients, and can be more discriminating about the love.)

  • One medium can good quality tuna
  • Half bunch of parsley
  • Juice of one lemon
  • One tomato – diced
  • Half a purple onion – diced
  • One clove garlic – finely chopped
  • One chilli – finely chopped
  • Salt
  • black pepper
  • Spaghetti or Fusilli
  • Parmesan

Put water in for pasta. When it has boiled and the pasta is in, begin the sauce. Fry onion, garlic and chilli in the oil from the tuna can for 2 or 3 minutes. Add diced tomato, simmer a bit longer, throw in can of tuna then add juice of lemon, love, and a bit of salt, pepper. Cook for 4 minutes or so to reduce. Throw in parsley and stir through just before you turn off the heat. Serve with parmesan according to taste.

Comments on Love Pasta ( commonly known as Tuna pasta)

Tom on 16 February 2008:

The other night after work, I looked through these recipes and found this one, wrote down it's ingredients and headed off to the supermarket. When I got back, Snooze was home. As I unpacked my bag, Snooze looked at me somewhat amazed. She then emptied her bag. Same ingredients.

Both of us had looked here and chosen the same thing. Embarrassing, but true. It's good but.
